SHOWCASE: Alexander Ng

Alexander Ng has been working as a designer and art director in the UK for the past 8 years, specialising in branding, advertising, print and digital design.

He worked for companies like Mccann Erickson Enterprise, Tangible group, Splash of Paint, Think Farm and a few other advertising and branding companies. During his time with these companies, he had worked with clients like AkzoNobel, Barclays Bank, BMW, Nestle, Virgin Digital Help, BNP Paribas, Royal London, Schroders, Scottish Life, Mitsubishi Motors Europe and Royal College of Music.

Alexander graduate with diploma in visual communication from Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore in 1996, he then worked as an intern in Batey Advertising in Singapore before his military service. In 1999 while working in Pandora Interactive as a graphic and interactive designer, he decided to further his education in London.

After graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with a BA Hons in Graphic Design in 2001, he then proceeded with a MA degree in Interactive Multi-Media at the London College of Printing (Presently known as London College of Communication). During this time, his project on a short animation piece was selected in various international short film festivals and was later screened on Spanish and Latin American TV. The piece was awarded Best Non-Narrative Film in Rome and nominated for D&AD Campaign Screen New Director. In 2002, he also gained an Award for Innovation by Playstation 2 for an interactive piece.

Alexander has been a member of the Chartered Society of Designers since 2006.
